Groodles Australia is a vet-guided breeding program with heart. We breed happy, healthy golden retriever x poodle puppies — and all proceeds go to charity.
Our breeding dogs are family pets, and so our groodle puppies are raised at home — not in kennels. They’re socialised from birth, often growing up around children, other animals, and everyday life.
Founded by veterinarian Dr Jeannet Kessels in 2006, we’re a health-first breeding program, guided every step of the way by experienced vets and vet nurses. Our team analyses temperaments, DNA results, and hip/elbow scoring to ensure the best possible breeding matches.
All of our profits go to important causes, with over $750,000 AUD donated to organisations in the fields of education, mental health, the environment, and assistance dogs.
Our Puppies
We breed miniature, medium, and standard Groodles, with a variety of coat types, suited to different needs and lifestyles.
Our puppies are family-raised and breeding is guided by vets, with all proceeds donated to charity.

Become a Champion Family
At Groodles Australia, our breeding dogs (groodles, poodles and golden retrievers) live as beloved pets in the local community — not in kennels. We call these generous families our ‘Champion Families’. They raise our puppies in their homes with veterinary guidance and our support, socialising them from birth around everyday life, and often around children and other pets. It’s a rewarding way to be part of our community while helping raise happy, healthy puppies for families across Australia.
